Help with the Bell app.
Answers for students who use Bell on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. If your question is not here, write to us: a person reads every message, and we aim to reply within two school days.
Three ways to an answer.
Write to us.
Send your question to hello@bell4schools.com. Say which device you use, whether your school is on ASIMS or on Bell, and what you see on screen. Never send a password, a sign-in code or an AI key.
Report a tutor answer.
Under any answer from the tutor, open More (the three dots) and choose Report a problem with this answer. It opens an email with the provider and model filled in, never the chat itself, and you decide whether to send it.
Questions about your records.
Your timetable, homework and grades come from your school. If a mark or a lesson looks wrong, ask your school: Bell shows what the school’s system holds.
Questions about the app
How do I sign in?
At a school on the ASIMS portal, you sign in on the portal’s own page inside Bell, with your school email and, depending on how your school set up your account, the one-time code ASIMS sends you, your password, or your school’s Microsoft 365 account, whose sign-in page also opens inside Bell. What you type goes to ASIMS or Microsoft, and Bell never stores a password. At a school on Bell’s own platform, tap Sign in to a Bell school, find your school, enter your school email and type the code you receive by email. If you have added a passkey to your Bell account, choose Sign in with a passkey instead.
My sign-in code did not arrive.
Check your spam or junk folder, and check the email address you typed. At an ASIMS school the code comes from ASIMS, so your school’s IT team can help if it never arrives. At a Bell school, choose Use a different email to start again.
Can I try Bell without a school account?
Yes. On the sign-in screen, tap Try a demo. Bell opens a made-up school generated on your device, with a week of lessons, homework and grades, and nothing is sent anywhere. Notifications and calendar sync stay off in the demo. To leave it, go to Settings, Account, Leave demo and sign in.
What does the study tutor need?
By default the tutor runs on Apple Intelligence on your device. That needs iPhone 15 Pro or newer, or an iPad with M1 or newer or iPad mini (A17 Pro), with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings and your device and Siri set to a language it supports. Polish is not supported yet. Where your school allows students’ own keys, or has not decided, you can add your own key for Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini in Settings, AI Tutor; each provider sets its own minimum age. At a Bell school, the tutor stays off until your school turns it on.
How do I sign out and remove my data?
Sign out in Settings removes your session key, the saved school data, files you opened in Bell, your AI keys, and Bell’s entries in Calendar and Reminders. Your notes and chats stay locked on the device for your account, so they come back if you sign in again; to delete them too, choose Settings, Remove local data and sign out. To remove an AI key without signing out, choose Settings, AI Tutor, Remove key, and do this before deleting the app, because iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is removed. If you turned on Sync with iCloud, removing local data does not delete the copy in your iCloud. Records your school holds are the school’s: ask the school.
Which devices does Bell run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later, paired with an iPhone that has Bell. Widgets, the countdown on the Lock Screen and, on iPhones that have it, the Dynamic Island come with the iPhone app.
Is Bell my school’s app?
No. Bell is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ASIMS or any school. It shows your own records through your own sign-in. Today the ASIMS school Bell works with is Akademeia High School in Warsaw.
Where does my data go?
No ads, no tracking and no analytics. At an ASIMS school, your school data goes between your device and your school’s portal, with no Bell server in between. The full answer, including what the tutor sends and when, is in the app privacy notice.
